She Can Sing Again - One family’s fight against the airway Papilloma virus
What is the Papilloma Virus? *
- Recurrent Respiratory Papillomatosis, or RRP, is a disease caused by the Human Papilloma Virus, also known as HPV.
- The virus causes tumor-like lesions to grow on the larynx and, in some cases, in the trachea and lungs.
- There is no cure for RRP.
- Left untreated, the lesions may grow and cause suffocation and death.
