Dr. Shapshay has been a Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at Albany Medical College since 2006 practicing the subspecialty of Laryngology. He has held the positions of Professor of Otolaryngology at Boston University School of Medicine, Tufts University School of Medicine and the Mount Sinai School of Medicine serving as Chairman, Department of Otolaryngology at Tufts University from 1994 to 2001. His clinical interests include laryngology and the management of airway disease and his research interests include the application of new laser delivery systems in the treatment of laryngological disorders. Dr. Shapshay has published 196 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and 35 books and book chapters.
